Bij een nieuwe film van Quentin Tarantino is de soundtrack meestal evenzeer de moeite waard als wat er te 
zien is. De soundtrack van Jackie Brown bijvoorbeeld is, met nummers van Bobby Womack en The Delfonics, erg goed. De manier waarop hij in andere films muziek gebruikte van o.a. Dick Dale, George Baker, Stealers Wheel en Nancy Sinatra, droeg sterk bij aan de kracht van de betreffende scènes. De soundtrack van zijn nieuwe film Death Proof (Tarantino's helft van de double bill Grindhouse) is nu bekend geworden. De cd verschijnt in Amerika begin april.
